HSG to host session at the European Public Health Conference 2017
The session will explore health systems resilience in the context of a complex and changing world, buffeted by political, economic, environmental demographic and health challenges and even shocks, and growing recognition of the importance of building health systems that can adapt positively to these changes and ensure their own sustainability.
Contributors will make the case that the public health community must provide much needed leadership, reflecting their skills in epidemiology, modelling, evaluation, and health systems and health services research.
The session will also explore how the European Public Health Association EUPHA and Health Systems Global might work together to support methodological development, research, and mutual learning, with a focus on building resilient health systems and services.
The session will take place between 08:30 and 10:00 on Saturday 4th November in room K16 of the Stockholmsmässan centre.
The EPH Conference aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research as well as public health training and education in Europe. The theme of the 10th conference is ‘Sustaining Resilient and Healthy Communities’.
